A small question to the translation team
« on: March 13, 2015, 08:57:54 PM »
Hi,

just a quick question, the translation done by you is for the Portuguese spoken in Brazil and not Portugal, is that correct?

Thanks.

The folks here're from Jogabilida, which I'm pretty sure is a Brazilian site. :)

Yes, thanks Reives, I knew they were Brazilian so I was 95% sure, just wanted to confirm.

However, I have a second inquiry for this translation team, this time a bit more important:
Your translation is the only one which, throughout the game, displays fragments of text (image filenames starting with "legenda") in the lower right corner of the screen. At first I thought those might be translator's notes or something similar, but it turns out they're not. Google translated:

Quote
Small steps, deep breath. It's okay.
Lift the head. I can not stay in the spotlight.
She said: "I regret." Even without using words.
And I stood it, looking for an answer.
When this world ends, the moon and all that we see.
I will ask you to fly with me.
Until all the stars fall from the sky and deflate.
But do not care.
If you are with me, then it's okay.
Why and my words always lose the point?
What I feel and what I say ... There is a huge gulf between them.
He said: "No I can really understand you."
And I was stopping her. I never knew what I should have done.

Then I thought they might be quotes from the game, but even though I played this game a year ago, I can't remember any of these appearing in the dialogue (or am I wrong?).
Is there a reason as to why you felt the need to add these "enhancements"?

It's a bad Google translate of the lyrics for Everything's Alright from what I can tell.

Try listening to the song while reading the text.

Your translated version with the lyrics to the song next to it.

Small steps, deep breath. It's okay.  -  Short steps, deep breath. Everything is alright
Lift the head. I can not stay in the spotlight.  -  Chin up. I can't step into the spotlight
She said: "I regret." Even without using words.  -  She said "I'm sad." Somehow without any words.
And I stood it, looking for an answer.  -  I just stood there, searching for an answer.
When this world ends, the moon and all that we see.  -  When this world is no more, the moon is all we'll see
I will ask you to fly with me.  -  I'll ask you to fly away with me
Until all the stars fall from the sky and deflate.  -  Until the stars all fall down. They empty from the sky.
But do not care.  -  But I don't mind
If you are with me, then it's okay.  -  If you're with me, then everything's alright.
Why and my words always lose the point?  -  Why do my words always lose their meaning
What I feel and what I say ... There is a huge gulf between them.  -  What I feel, what I say. There's such a rift bethween them
He said: "No I can really understand you."  -  He said "I can't really seem to read you"
And I was stopping her. I never knew what I should have done.  -  I just stood there. Never know what I should do

If I could, I'd turn back time, forget it all and leave this mess behind.
If I could, her love would always be around.
