This is the first I've heard of it. Sounds cool. Although, a pretty terrible moth to have it, since I'll be (mostly) bogged down with school, but I wouldn't mind reading a novel or two. :musicnote:

And wow, this thread is old.  :-X

Vasha told me to! He said that necroposting isn't a big deal!

*duck and cover*

But anyways, yeah. Gonna be potentially awesome. Though I'll admit I'm torn: they say that when you're doing it, you're supposed to cut out distractions. But the next Harry Potter movie is coming out November 18!

*oh, the conflict*

Haha.  :) Nothing wrong with it in my book.

I hope you decide to do it. I would like to read what you send in.

-saw this on the forum and totally has to say- THIS IS SUCH A COINCIDENCE! :O I was just working on a book I'm writing when I clicked on this. That is so weird, and not to mention it's supposed to be a novel I'll try to publish. Everyone I know says "You should totally publish your books!"

...Okay, now I'm just babbling. BUT STILL, novels are so fun to write~  ;D

I wanted to do it last year and write a novel about the current game I am making-but didn't have time to do it so I decided to do it next year. So here is next year and I absolutely have no time to do this. :( I wish anyone who joined luck, though. This needs will and time. D:

I might post it eventually, but I'm usually pretty squeamish about letting people read my rough drafts. Only one person besides me has even read my '08 entry, and that's just because he's one of my best friends and he whined really really loudly.

So yeah, maybe when it enters... *checks watch for some reason* third revision or so.

Maybe.

I would assume so. As the main website says "if you think you're writing a novel, then so do we!" The only rules are that it's 50,000 words written entirely within November. Besides that, go for it.

Yup. That's the low-down.

As for me, I've already hit writer's block. Which is dumb, because I haven't even started writing it yet. Pretty much I need a systematic description of the magic I'm going to use, but I keep running into problems with them being dependent on an A theory of time, which is bunk. That probably doesn't like a big deal, but it kind of is.

For those who are interested, here's a video explaining what I just said, but more hilariously and in an Australian accent:

So NaNoWriMo is over. I didn't do it, but a few of you said you were going to give it a shot and I'm interested in what has sprung out. Where're those stories, people?  ;)

50,000 words proved too much for my poor brain. |D;; I didn't make the cut, but I enjoy looking back over my story. They say to turn your brain farts into words but I just find it really hard to write a story when it doesn't have any visible plot on the horizon. -stands on tiptoes and peers off into the distance, shielding her eyes- In any case, my novel is 49,000 words, roughly, and I'm not even done with that thing yet. I have been working on that thing for years now, though, so at the beginning of the month I really doubted I could write a 50,000 worded book in a month with school and all, and my family isn't all that supporting of my interest in writing, oddly enough.  :-X
