XBox 360 controller issues
« on: August 24, 2013, 01:59:47 AM »
My game simply doesn't respond to the 360 controller I have plugged in. The controller works for all of my other games, but not for To The Moon. It's a Gamestop brand wired controller if that means anything.

I'm not sure if the problems are connected, but going into the F1 options menu causes my mouse cursor to disappear as well. I tried altering my gamepad options by tabbing over there, but there was no option to tell me if my controller was working or not.

The game doesn't support controllers by default as far I know, but you can use a free program like "joy2key" to assign keyboard keys to your controller buttons, which would make you able to play it with a controller.

The game uses DirectInput for Gamepad support.
It works perfectly with my own 360 controller (wireless). I don't know why it doesn't work for you.
Maybe if you search around for DirectInput, XInput and 360 controller issues you may find something. I hope you will be able to solve the issue.
