Well, I'm already stuck.
Spoiler: show
On day 2, I woke up Signe and showed her the horse. But even after getting the poem and turning the horse on the pedestal, nothing seems to have happened. Can you help me?

Yeah, I got stuck pretty hard on this one, too.

Spoiler: show
I assume you're doing everything correct except that when you turn the horse to the next compass direction, you have to do so like you're opening a safe. That is, switch back and forth between clockwise to counter-clockwise with each turn.

Ah thanks! That puzzle definitely needs clearer instructions.

Now I'm stuck again.

Spoiler: show
How am I supposed to solve the three wells problem?

Nope. I called her, read that riddle book(by the why, why doesn't that create a note?) but I can't seem to apply it. I mean, Freja doesn't even try to drink the water from the wells.

The thing about the water from the wells is that, in context, they are either Poison or an Antidote. When you drink it once, it's Poison, then you drink a higher well for Antidote.

The first trick lies in making sure Semita only drinks well water one time, because that first time will be Poison. The second trick is setting up a situation in which you're already Poisoned and Semita gives you the Antidote.

There's an item in the Wreckage of the ship that is necessary to beat this puzzle.

Thanks, but I looked this up, and it cleared up the confusion a bit:

http://www.ocf.berkeley.edu/~wwu/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?board=riddles_easy;action=display;num=1027805511

Although to be fair, what confused me was that she was unwilling to drink the first well's water from the bowl, even when she could neutralize the poison from the second well. That, and the messages about not wasting her source of fresh water when I tried to fill the bottle threw me off. Sorry!

I was adequately stumped when I first did the puzzle, too. XD It's tricky in a good way.

What I find scary is that the riddle is labelled "easy" in that forum. That means they deal with even more devious riddles! I honestly kind of want to see a few of those..

Reading through all of those posts is pretty entertaining.

Question:  If the knight could bring plain water, why were they drinking from poisoned wells in the first place?

Hahaha!

Why did the maker put an eight queens puzzle? Isn't that supposed to be really difficult to figure out on our own? Granted, it's been cracked for quite a while so..

The rest of the puzzles haven't been too much of a problem though.

All of the puzzles in that room are really cleverly connected. They all inform each other, if you really get lost. The neat thing is that the Harpy constellation in your note pad, which you use to get the chest code, is on an 8x8 grid. The dots on the grid represent the stars in the constellation, but also happen to be the solution to the 8 Queens puzzle.

Spoiler: show
Not sure what all items you have, but two items are needed to solve it: one for mechanical reasons, and the other for solving. If you have both and think you know what to do but aren't getting a result, try waiting after each "input" for a click before inputting the next answer.

I hope that makes sense. Being vague-but-not-too-vague is rough. XD

I'll play around with the sundial later.

I recovered the faxed letter and placed a mini fan in the candle holder(don't know the point of this though). Now what?
