<possible spoiler?> One thing bothers me about the use of the shuttle

Shuttles don't land on the moon... So... They don't fulfill the all-important contract? Maybe it is the future and it is a moon landing shuttle or something, but still a funny little inconsistency. For the record, the game is amazing, and I loved playing it. Looking forward to the next episode!

Since it was all in Johnny's head, none of the space facts don't need to be real to us. They only need to be real to him. Whatever it looked like, Johnny believed he had landed on the moon in that space shuttle.

Actualy everybody forgets... Shuttle can serve as command module on Moons orbit and carry landing module in cargo bay...

Or it could just be that that's his first mission and going to the moon was a later mission i.e. he's going on one there's more ahead. Actually having said that if that would be the case then it further highlights that the moon was unimportant as long as River was with him.
