LOL, spamming is not a good idea, even if the intentions are good, like in your case.  When a person advertises through spam, they may end up annoying a lot of people and getting a bad reputation for their game, website, or whatever they are advertising.  So be careful!  What we must do is spread good and honest word of Q-TBV!  :)

I still haven't written my review or finished a few fan works I had in mind, though. XD  I need to get time for that.

I'm pretty sure James was kidding when he talked about spamming, heheh. If not, he's in for a smacking next time we both go home from campus.

And advertising can be achieved without spamming, James. :p

Signatures, and even a post in other forums' advertising areas only.  Word of mouth.  Fansites! LOLz.  Blog entries.

Advertise in your own websites/weblogs/journals and tell your friends.  :D

Reives if your reading this I would like to even suggest paying a small fee for advertising in certain places. (banner ads on sites) This will boost your players by a gazzillion, as long as you have the banner lead to a page with the download and possibly the forums here.

My idea was, that as this is an RMXP game (done with the legal version of rmxp) I think it'd be alright to put up ads about the game. As long as you didn't rip TOO many graphics, which wouldn't matter advertising on certain sites anyway.

An example: Using projectwonderful.com I'm sure you could find other places to put the ads as well. I suggest bidding for ad-space that is not necessarilly your typical "rpg making" community website. In this way, you could get Game Players to play your game instead of Game Makers.

You just have to make the person that clicks on the ad and comes to the page WANT to play the game. Good luck, just a suggestion

Ah, good idea. I think I'll do that after the whole game's finished, that way the player won't feel left hanging. :> I'm pretty sure I didn't use any ripped graphics at all, all non-original graphics were made-to-use free resources that I credited, so that should be fine.

Awsome. Just tell me if you need any help with advertising. I know of projectwonderful.com and http://www.text-link-ads.com, text-link-ads probably being the more professional one and projectwonderful.com being the stay-anonymous one.

There's also google adwords, but I have not tryed that yet and I've heard some nasty things about it. (too pricey, etc...)
