Japanese Translation
« on: November 08, 2011, 08:26:30 AM »
I'm currently doing some heavy research at the moment, so I don't have the time to translate the whole thing. I can do quick translation work on parts, but what I'd really want are some people who could edit or spice it up.

TL;DR: Gauging interest in a Japanese rendition. Who all wants to work on it?

「月へ」について、私は研究中から、全て通訳するって無理だと思う。文などは早く訳せるけど、編集できる人がとても必要です。誰かと「月へ」を通訳しよう?

Ah, about the Japanese version -- I've actually had a localization company approach me sometimes before the launch with interest in translating it, so I was thinking that I'd just take up on that offer. It depends though; if we've some people who really want to do it and have the qualifications, I'd be up for this as well. :)

Is that somehow through Shigi and George's connections?

Hey all,

Yeah I am actually the guy from the localization company that is interested in localizing the title. :)
I mostly just lurk here. I didn't actually make an account until this year. Heh

If Reives does decide to go with us we would of course love to get some fan participation as well. My first thought would be sending out our first Japanese build to Japanese fans to get their feedback and help with testing.

It's great to see that there is already interest in the title!   ;)

Hi. I'm curious. Does your company have a website? Would like to give it a gaze. :)

I'd love to see this translated into Japanese. Or possibly even help translate, though I'm not fluent ^^;

What is the current status of this project? I notice that it's been a few months since the last update and am concerned that it might be dead in the water.

I am a professional translator and am very interested in lending any assistance to help turn this project a reality (on a pro bono basis of course *cough*). My work usually revolves around JP-EN translations in IT, finance, and generic material such as TV shows and some adverts. For what it's worth, I occasionally handle EN-JP translations on a very limited basis. Except for some of the psychological/neuroscience material in the game, this project is something I think I can handle and it's something I would be very interested in doing.

私のような者でよろしければ是非とも参加させて頂ければと思います。

Well, if anyone is to know, I think you should ask either BudokaiMR2 or Reives himself. There maybe progress that is happening that the general forum populace doesn't know about.

I think it already has. I didn't know that the Italian team was long prepped for their release on Steam. I didn't see any activity from them for quite a while.

I've emailed BudokaiMR2 and he has confirmed that the translation should be ready soon. I can't wait to play this again in Japanese!
