For River and Dango recordings
« on: October 31, 2010, 07:49:44 PM »
Found my keyboard-to-laptop line today, and decided to record a couple of tracks for fun.

Dango ~ (looked up this song after seeing it mentioned on the forum yesterday and it got stuck in my head. Lots of mistakes though; just tried to play it for the first time an hour ago):

For River/To the Moon (long version):

Hope ya folks enjoy! c:

For River sounds very gentle. It sounds a little reminescent to me and kind of makes me sleepy too. honestly, I should listen to this when I'm sleeping cause it's like a soothing lullaby. ;3 nice try on the Dango Daikazoku song though. At least you can play it better than me. Lol  ;)

The dango daikazoku song kinda misses the really quiet opening, where it should only use the right hand, and I think be an octave higher than the rest. Or at least that's what I remember.

There's no limits to necro-ing in Freebirdia!

And why does the later bits of For River sound distinctly Quintessence-y?

Oh wow, I totally forgot about these, hahah. There was a section of the TtM theme that had always been there since the beginning, but for some reason didn't make it to the released version. I think I heard that part in this recording.

I've never tried Clannad, despite seeing all the glowing reviews.

But Dango is growing on me, especially the version here. It's so sweet and mellow. A lovely lullaby

If you think that is lullaby check the ending version of Clannad anime:

The Clannad OST has excellent nostalgia factor. And, the visual novel was great for context.

I've seen that. I still like this version though. Must be the choice of instruments. Removing the vocals makes it flow better than the original I guess.
