Forum Theme Revamp
« on: February 10, 2008, 10:22:00 PM »
The base theme used now is Arcane Magic by TechnoDragon.

It's about time to have a change from the default template, and I thought this one looked quite novel.

It might take a while to get used to the new layout, however.
Feel free to give some feedback on your preference of this here, and whether you think this one should stay.

Edit:
Oh, and! I refined the Info page on the main site.

Might need to refresh it to see.

I think it looks good. :) Though, the text is a little hard to read, being brown on a brown background. Maybe you could change it to white?

That's true, I'll have to figure out where to do that first, heheh. Maybe Arwym could help. Do you know where to change the code, by the way?

Edit: Mm, I think this actually has a smoother effect though, now that I'm a bit more used to it. Ctrl+wheel to make the text bigger helped for me.

Me? Unfortunately, I don't have much experience with forum codes... so no. Hmmm...

Ah well. The thing that bothers me the most is that when posting, for example, the text at the white bars are the same colour as text in the brown box, so you can barely see it.

You know, out of all the themes, Arcane Magic was my least favorite. If, however,. you just change the color from an ugly brown to something nice (maybe a light blue or green), it would be a great theme.

The colour more or less resembles the window skin colour in-game, perhaps a bit darker for that though. I personally actually like it, but I'll mess around with it later.

I believe that QTBV is more of a blue-purpleish-black colour? Don't you?

I'm going to try some changes in the near future with the colours. By the way, if anyone has any themes that they particularly like, feel free to share. No guarantees of course but, the more to consider the better. :)

If I can point out one thing, it's a bit difficult distinguishing the stickies and the non-stickies.

It loads the same after the first time that the background image gets loaded I think.

But I am going to try some new themes in the near future, those suggested above would probably be the first candidates. :)
(Can't see the text though? I noticed that it's the case for the Subject white bar and etc., but for the actual text box it's still light colour on dark brown BG for me?)
