How was Thanksgiving?

So yesterday was American Thanksgiving (us in Canada had it a month ago). How was it, ya guys? Fill us non-turkey-stuffed people in with the delicious details.

The dinner for me kinda sucked. The turkey was bought from a chinese supermarket so it wasn't that good ._. The food kinda sucked and it was really really boring.

My family and I went to spend lunch with my brother's girlfriend's family and a few neighbors during the afternoon. There was turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, stuffing, ham, green bean casserole, fried rice, homemade apple pie, pumpkin pie, and [my] cheesecake. Think there were also some rice krispy treats and muffins. Ahem. But anyway.. Afterwards, I went to see a movie with the girlfriend's mother, and 4 of her siblings. Watched Planet 51. It was an alright movie. :-X

Then we went back home to spend a little time with my uncle, aunt, and 3 of my cousins. They offered me that evil pumpkin cheesecake that made me feel like I needed to throw up. :-\

Then I went to my dad's and here I am. :)

I spent most of my days playing online RPGs. :P no one came over, but we had awesome dinner  turkey, riced potatoes, squash (with lots and lots of sugar in it :D), green bean casserole, canned cranberry stuff, stuffing/dressing, and pumpkin and apple pie.

Now we have leftovers

Oh, how I loved it! We had:

-fresh turkey straight from an Amish market
-my mother's favorite slaw
-cornbread stuffing (It came from a package, but it was still good.)
-sweet potato pudding (GodIloveit!)
-homemade cranberry sauce (Canned can never beat this stuff! Never!)
-pumpkin pie and apple pie
-fruit salad
-a ton of candy and cookies (gifts)

Thanksgiving lunch (we do it for lunch, not dinner, in our family) was at my house (or what was my house, since I'm living on campus now).  I got to see basically the entire family on my dad's side (even my cousin and his wife who I'd been told wouldn't be able to come, though they had to leave before we started the meal), and got to be reminded how much my little sisters (twins who are 9 years old) seem to like me better than the entire rest of the family combined.  If you measure "liking me better" as "I got more hugs from each than the entire rest of the family did, got the first of those hugs before my other sister who arrived at the same time as me, and they insisted that I play their favorite game with them after most of the other relatives had left."  And they also tried to convince me to stay the night at home, as they do every time I visit.

The meal was average.  I wasn't in the mood for gorging myself, so I didn't, even though I usually do.  Seeing everyone was better than the eating.  I got to take home a bunch of my choice of leftovers, which was nice.

I missed this.

Mine wasn't that great. Some crazy family members decided to come to my house uninvited. Really we're not related other than my uncle, but his wife is wierd and his "Daughter" is even stranger. Not the funnest people either. All they do is bore you to death with stories that aren't funny. :seraisweatdrop: But thank God they left.
