Whaaaat? :o IPod violence ??? Isn't IPod a MUSIC device? (or we're speaking about 2 totally different things? O.o)

No matter how I think about it, I can't imagine video games/media actually being the root of violence, or a cause of it for that matter...

...I'm just too addicted I guess...

*cuts off topic rant*

I do notice that before, when my dad played CoD, he would always be cranky and short tempered when he was off of the game. I think it's just cause he plays for 10 hours straight, though... >_<

That's more an aspect of online gaming than the fact that it was a shooter mind you.  You could put twenty people in one massively multiplayer online puzzler game for five hours and they'd all be belligerent and hate each other by the time it's over.  :p

Well, this one kid in my school got yelled at because he was using the IGun App on his IPod. The teacher freaked out because it was too violent. ::)

It's not the root of violence, it may affect persons to play those games, but no matter how you put it - it's just a lousy excuse.
It's not like violence would be something new since we discovered the new medias.
The real roots of violence are deeper... emotional or social conflicts - thats what most violence comes from.
Then add alcohol and similar drugs, as they can change your mind quickly and with less self-reflection than gaming.

After that you could aim for PC games.
Even if you are nothing more than a drop in a bucket...
Every drop leaves ripples.

@Thunder - True true, but over reactive parents always draw the line between video games and violence :P

@Lance - Of course Thunderbird wasn't aware. She doesn't know you, does she? >_<

Uhm...where have I linked being a video nerd with being drunk?
I think there is a misunderstanding in what I mean.
