I want to learn Chinese, too.  :'(
English > Japanese > Chinese on my list.

By the way, there are a lot of very short words in Chinese, right? Words with 2, 3, 4, 5 characters, also names and the like.
German is a language with a some quite long words.

but then u get some really complicated words like 翻 (flip)

Ah , awesome, thanks nikhed! c: And yeah, seems like I forgot a lot about pinyin, heheh. 翔 looks right I think, since it has that bird/feathery character in it which should be associated with flying.

And yep Squall. Actually, I think every Chinese character is just one single sound (there's a more accurate word for it, could someone remind me? e.g. la = one ___, lala = 2 ___s).

You mean a syllable?

I mean even in the Latin Alphabet the most words donít have more than 5 characters (there are a lot of vowels, too).

Yes, syllable! :>

And ah, yeah, that's true Squall. I think either 5 or 6 is the max. But people don't really write with the latin thing (it's more so for helping people learn the pronunciations) in everyday use.

A single unit of sound in speech is actually called a phoneme. A syllable is a unit of pronunciation, in any given word, that has one vowel sound (so it's more specific than the phoneme).

There might be more than one vowel if there any glides or vowel diphthongs.

Ok well ... i'm not a huge fan of pop vocal but seriously the mood of the song sounds really nice.

The music is really well made and sounds just great.

and the lyrics (translated in english cuz i can't understand chinese :P) are really well thought and have a nice and smooth and loveable.

Nice piece there :) keep it up

I listened to Kite again in the last days (and today) and wondered if you continued working on it? o:
The last 1 or two seconds sounded very promising.

How long to you need to compose a song like Kite, by the way? (Not including the lyrics and vocals.)

Thanks everyone. c: And Squall, I've worked on it some more, but haven't gotten enough to complete it yet. I'm on a little writer's block for the story I intended to do with the song's lyrics. I also ended up changing that electric guitar solo thing at the end of this demo to an oboe-ish instrument, I'm not sure if that'd work out - will probably post it in the future for some suggestions.

As far as time it takes goes, mm, the music composition itself for this one was like 2 days - can't remember how many hours, but quite a few. Mainly because I kept changing things around.
