Mini-games in RPG Maker like in To the Moon

How did To the Moon have a puzzle mini-game before each time leap? I mean, can you import games from other engines into RPG maker? Or was this coded within RPG maker itself.

Sorry, I'm a total noobie when it comes to these things. I just finished writing my story and now I'm just deciding which engine I should use. Most likely it will be RPG maker, especially if the answer to this question is a yes.

Reives coded the puzzles using the event system in RPG Maker XP.

I think Merlandese did most of the puzzle work.

@Gaming Point: Yes, things like this are possible using things like variables and conditional branches and pictures. It certainly requires some advanced knowledge, but once you are familiar with the RPG Maker basics it's not too hard to create a minigame.

The tile flipping puzzles were Merlan's work from graphics to coding. :) And yeah, it was entirely evented and made use of character sprites to piece together pictures.

Oh, sorry about the wrong accreditation Merlandese. I just saw it in the game and wrongly assumed it was Kan's work ._.
