Hm, I'm still not sold on the text intro thing. It might needs to be dragged toward the middle a bit as far as ambiguity goes (the length might be a problem too), though.

Text intro as in bold statements, with a few cutscenes of no talking?

Dragged toward the middle? What is? Sorry! Been kinda busy and atm, my memory is fairly hazy.

Ah, what I was trying to say was that in general, I've found that many games tend to have a really bland intro. It either doesn't deliver the main plot or do anything except for showing off the 133t aw3s0m3 graphics engine they've just paid about $200 million for.

Text intro as in bold statements, with a few cutscenes of no talking?
Hmmm... maybe. Though, it depends on the approach. If the story will contain lots of military lingo and strategy info, interwoven with lots of sub-plots, I think a text intro(1 page max!) with some cutscenes would be better than trying to mash in all that intro stuff into an absurdly long movie that stretches on for 20 minutes and beyond.

Whereas if it's something light, then a text intro would be more like overkill.

I'm not sure you understand what I was saying...
You know how in some games, as the scenes are going about there business, a few picture/text statements fade in describing the basic background of the game.

Sweet, might as well get 20 post and try that out. Then I could see the differences from the older version to the new one. Probably been improved a lot.
