I love the cool sci fi concepts Reives gave us. I am particularity excited for Faye. So the memory technology can create life?

Yep, that's a reasonable timeframe.

And yeah, more could be said about the world around the characters, in their present. We'll see whether this will happen :)
I don't think it's necessary for the patient stories since those play in the past, but then, you just never know with this developer. After all, he did give us a glimpse into Sigmund's workings when we got to see how they go about attracting customers in Finding Paradise.
But who knows what's in store with Neil's and Eva's sidestory. Maybe that'll play heavier on developments in their world?

If TTM's humanity is to go to the stars, it might still be a long way away. Because, well, their world still looks pretty much like ours, just with some cool computer developments. Of course, that's once again an "as far as we know". Maybe in the last game, Reives will surprise us by showing that actually, Neil and Eva are just brains in jars on a trip to the edge of the known universe and they needed something to keep their minds busy during the journey so as to not go insane. I mean, the first game was called "To the Moon", and what I've learned so far is that Reives loves to plant bits of foreshadowing long before the actual thing they're referring to gets unveiled.

Also, with your user name, we should really have a debate on the original ending of Mass Effect.
(Just kidding, I'm over that now ... I think ...  :'()

To the Moon - Discussions / Re: Why Johnny didn't want to read Attwood book?

Johnny liked about River that she was different from the others. That made her special to him.
He didn't understand why she did things differently from other people. If he had read the book, he might have understood the actual reasons. He might have understood what makes an Aspie brain tick differently from a non-Aspie one. That made him afraid. He wanted River to remain special and magical.

(First of all, sorry for my broken english)
(Then, thanks a lot for this wonderful game. As an aspie guy, it touched me right in the feels)

Okay well I'm here to ask a simple, silly question.
Why did Johnny refuse when the doctor asked him if he wanted to read a book from Tony Attwood?
It bothers me everytime. But maybe he thought he didn't need a book to "understand" River or I don't know...

General / Re: Why are there no serious space sci fi shows on television?

Some random reasons I can think of:

1) We had a big hype for space when the first moon landing was, greatly broadening the audience at that time for anything space-related

2) the TV is more and more a tool for an older demographic, so you are more likely to find sci-fi in other mediums (games, streaming services and such)

3) (a bit similar to 1) the novelty of space-travel has faded a bit, so other topics of science-fiction are currently more popular

General / Why are there no serious space sci fi shows on television?

I enjoyed all three seasons of The Expanse and I intent to watch it on Amazon but I find it sad that there is no big space opera on TV now.

What happened? Have we lost interest in space? Have we become too cynical for the future?

I have heard people complain that The Expanse is too slow and lacks a "sense of wonder".

If space opera is to return to TV does it need ridiculous things like space fighters and humanoid aliens?

In To The Moon there is a reference to Animorphs. That book series came out in the 1990s when Johnny was a young child so I think To The Moon takes place in the 2060s-2080s.

What do you think?

Also can this universe be expanded? How do the governments feel about the artificial memory technology?

Do you think humanity in this universe will be able to become an interstellar civilization like Mass Effect/Star Trek or even The Expanse?
