To the Moon - Discussions / Re: General Discussion.
« Last post by 6Zayn on June 21, 2019, 04:31:00 PM »
Just wanted to let you know that, since I managed to solve the problem I had with To the Moon (Thanks to Eli), I started a Let's Play on my Youtube channel. It's not blind, since I know the game like the back of my hand, and it's in French. I'm mostly doing this to get people to know this game, and other Freebird Games (Haven't met anyone in real life who knows about it). And soon of course, I'll do the minisodes (Semi-blind), A Bird Story (Blind), and will probably do a LP of Finding Paradise as soon as it gets out. I might not have a great amount of subs (I'd say that 16 is pretty low), but I'll try and spread it as much as I can.

Now that the piece is "done" and I'm able to take a step back and look at it from a big picture view, some of the remaining issues are starting to come together and make a bit more sense.  For one, almost all of the 3/4 measures seem suspect.  I did a lot of "cheating" on those with tempo tweaks in order to get them to fit.  I'm not sure if I can make a blanket statement to say that ALL of them are actually 4/4, but it would make sense if they were.  The 5/4 measures really do seem to be mostly correct, especially at the ends of phrases.

Problematic measures:
3, 5, 21, 22, 25, 26 (beat 4) , 40, 43, 44, 47, 48, 49, 53 (5/4 -> 4/4), 55 (LH, beat 2), 59, 60 (3/4, right hand straight 32nd's -> 4/4 16th triplets), 63 (beat 4)

I just joined to share something I've been working on for several months now, a sheet music transcription of the Ending Theme.  I know there are sheets available for a couple of the other versions of the "For River" theme, but I couldn't find a good one of the Ending Version.  I know it still needs a bit of work in a few measures (that heavy rubato, as beautiful as it is, is a nightmare to transcribe -cuss- ), but I think it's mostly correct.  I welcome any feedback or corrections, and I do plan to continue tweaking things until it's perfect (or as close as I can get).

General / Re: Why are there no serious space sci fi shows on television?

Some random reasons I can think of:

1) We had a big hype for space when the first moon landing was, greatly broadening the audience at that time for anything space-related

2) the TV is more and more a tool for an older demographic, so you are more likely to find sci-fi in other mediums (games, streaming services and such)

3) (a bit similar to 1) the novelty of space-travel has faded a bit, so other topics of science-fiction are currently more popular

Few TV genres are as tricky to get right as the science-fiction series. Lost in Space is an American science fiction web television series blue stacks
It's like discussing left-wing vs right-wing IRL, it depends on each one's opinion kroger feedback.

holy mother of god

some of these human faces are actually so cringy to look at
I HAD to try to fix these up a bit

The trick is to first flip the picture horizontally in an image editing program. Then it will be as if looking at the picture from a stranger's eyes. This will help amplify the flaws in the artist's eyes, which have already previously adjusted to their own creation.

My school is strong in English, so hopefully my literary analysis of the game won't turn out too poorly. (another edit: ...looks like that won't be done any time soon.)
Good luck for your new school! I live in New England, and I go to a public high school that's filled with rich party people and drugs and alcohol. We literally call ourselves Marsh Vegas as a joke... Of course, not everyone is like that. There's actually a bunch of people I know of who are kind of like you, except big into anime and internet culture mostly(instead of video games so edit: on second thought you might not really like them...). Kodi They can be a bit vulgar, but maybe you'd still like them? Some are a lot nicer than others.
Even if you don't have a lot of friends within your definition, you don't have to be afraid of people! Some of the best moments can even come from just tagging along for a bit. For example, one of my drama club classmates is a fan of Disney movies. So while we were doing a Relay For Life all-night event as Key Club, most of the other kids had fallen asleep and he went to go wake them up cause he was mad at them (we were supposed to be up and walking the track the whole night - it's a symbolic thing). We basically got three other people out onto the track with us - and he and one of the girls started complaining about the random music the speakers were playing
