[ ~4mb, ~15 minutes of game-play. ]

A couple of things to note:

1. If there are moments where you suddenly go "I think this bugged out, it must've just skipped a bunch of events"; chances are that it didn't.

2. It is not scary or anything at all, so no need to worry about that. I've changed it from the original plans.

3. You may ask by the end of this, "Did this have a point?" or "What just happened?" or "Why did you waste 20 minutes of my life?"; I have nothing to answer to that.  8)

Now, for the actual game:

1. Almost everything is interactive.

2. Pay attention to details.

P.S.

It ends when the credits come up; you'll know when.

Feel free to make new threads for discussions and etc., if there do happen to be any.  ;)

I downloaded this multiple times, but whenever I opened the program, I haer a noise, and it closes. I don't get an error message, just a noise, and it closes. Any ideas why?

It *might* be that you don't have the RMXP RTP package, which is required to run this. (I haven't compiled a standalone version yet, heheh.) You can download the RTP package here: http://tkool.jp/products/rpgxp/eng/download.html

That's not it. I downloaded the program, no difference.

Mm, no idea then. . . Sorry.  :-X

~~
I forgot to say; TML got a Project of the Month for July on RMRK a few weeks ago, woo. c:

Just a little note about TML: This game hasn't been released at many places; just .org and rmrk so far. I am planning to hold onto it until the upcoming release of Quintessence is ready, as a promotional side-release.

didn't see this topic, so sorry if I'm necro-posting

This is most likely because you have a different RGSS library from the one specified, you should find out what library you have,
this game specifys RGSS102E.dll, you probably don't have that library.

FIX: Either get that library, or change ''game.ini' to specify the library you do have

Edit: the library goes into your system root, (C:\Windows\System32)

Lol it seems like it, I'm not trying to put down someone elses work since I don't have any to back it up but...
"Shoot the lock with loaded pistol" gave me a little laugh :) I thought that was rather funny for some reason.

(It say's that on a screenshot)

Oh, this game'll give you a ton of laughs. It's a regular hoot.

:P

Seriously, just try it. It should only take a half-hour to play or so.

Don't worry, I know the guy who made this and I don't think he's coming to this forum anymore. You can put it down all you want.  ;)

Two things.

1.
Just a little note about TML: This game hasn't been released at many places; just .org and rmrk so far. I am planning to hold onto it until the upcoming release of Quintessence is ready, as a promotional side-release.

Is that still the plan?

2.
Ciao! (I got school in the morning. :P)

Laters.
And aye, that's the plan but, I'm just really drained out lately and there's a million things to do, so it's kinda slipping late. :p Even releasing on other boards didn't happen until late today, and even then it was very slacked and I didn't do half the things I wanted to do.

I'm so bored I might actually play this again...naw :P It was well done, it just reminded me of those blasted pointless short stories I had to find deep meaning in in English literature. I'm not going to spend my break time PLAYING a pointless weird shortstory. But meh, those of you who haven't been tortured by countless such stories like Mirror Lied by your collage english class, you will love it.

Someone told me there's a kind of french poetry where you draw random words on slips of paper from a hat and put them together, then interpret what they mean. D:

O_O sounds like the "great works of poetic art" I had to study in english class last year, XD

a bottle....

          l   ies     broken

(and some other random crap. It was a messed up sentence where the writer spammed the space button, O think)

I got an A for basically saying "this is a piece of crap". You get high grades if you can, in a sophisticated way, take the total opposite viewpoint of the textbook, especially when the professor probably thinks the poems are horrible too ^_~

But yes, Mirror lied isn't as bad as the poetry I evaluated, but it's pointless, vauge, openended-ness reminds me of the freaky short stories I read (if you value your sanity, do NOT read The Yellow Wallpaper (http://etext.virginia.edu/etcbin/toccer-new2?id=GilYell.sgm&images=images/modeng&data=/texts/english/modeng/parsed&tag=public&part=all) )

you mean Leah?
I guess it was supposed to hint at how our lives are trapped like in the house, and there the email who keeps calling you not to listen to birdie cos it's gonna end up breaking you free from the cage or sth.
read some of the other threads in this board, they got more stuff regarding the 'story' behind the game.

Hahaz...though the expected game play time was 15-20 minutes, I took a whole hour to finish it... 'cos I got stuck after the fire thing LOL. (Man, I was stupid at playing computer games.) I love the music... very mysterious mood. :)

I'm not sure if this is the right place for a comment like this... but I just wanted to say I recently played this game and enjoyed it a lot.  The ambience was perfect, I was tense practically the entire time I played the game.  I think the end could have been a bit less ambiguous, but beyond that the game was a fantastic experience.  I might stick around and check out some of your other games.
