Title: Personality Test – What kind of person are you?
Post by: Ruben on July 27, 2009, 09:31:51 PM
I discovered this impressive personality and Multiple Intelligences test.
I was amazed how much my profile was right about how I am.

Personality Test (http://www.mypersonality.info/personality-types/)
Multiple Intelligences Test (http://www.mypersonality.info/multiple-intelligences/)

You will have to register, but actually you can type in anything; you don’t have to click a confirmation link in a e-mail and can just continue and take the test.

I don’t think I’m good at guessing, but I will try to guess the personality from some of you.

Reives - INFP or ENFP
Abi - ENTP or ISFP

Totally not sure, just guesses. I just want to make you curious and take the test.
if you don't know what these abbreviations mean, take the test.

P.S. I bet nobody is able to guess what type of personality I am.

Ah, I've seen this test around, but never got to taking it. Will try it now.

Mm'kay, I got INFP indeed. Sheesh, it's pretty slanted.

I'm guessing Squall = EITP and Abi = ISTJ?

I got ISTJ, but I'm not so sure that's right. A lot of these depend a lot on who I'm around, I tend to like to make up for extremes in people (i.e. if someone's really logical, I like to remind them about the emotional side of life) or with solving other people's problems, I'm extremely practical, my own problems, I can get very emotional. Plus, I think my personality is sort of in a flux anyway.

EDIT: Woah, Reives, you guessed! :)

EITP = ENTP.

I was totally wrong with Abi, I thought I would be.

INFJ
(https://freebirdgames.com/forum/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fbadges.mypersonality.info%2Fbadge%2F0%2F16%2F161672.png%3Fr%3D5nzrfb&hash=9571c0a343ef0eaeafee79b97284a206)

In fact INFJ is the rarest kind of all, but I think nearly everything it says about my personality is right or at least never completely wrong. I think there are 0.5% male and 1.5% female INFJs. But it is in fact an unusual combination.

Yeah, it's not bad.

. . . Unless you made a stupid booboo like me by thinking that the google ad link was the start of the quiz, and waste 10 minutes filling out a quiz on another site then finding out that you have to pay to get the results there (and that you took the wrong quiz). ._.;

P.S. *high fives Rayen* Wewt INFP!

I think there are a lot of INFPs, because this combination is quite logical.
Intuitive/Sensing = Feeling = Perceiving. I guess INFJs are so rare, because Judging is rarely connected with Intuitive and Perceiving. Abi, for instance, is Judging and more Thinking and Sensing than Intuitive and Feeling.

By the way:

@Reives: Did you take the other test (multiple intelligence), too?

@Amaranth/mepwnn: Your profiles are quite similar, except for the last point. Hehe, I'm relieved that I'm not the only NFJ.

What I also realized is that you all are quite extroverted or introverted (~80%+). I know that I'm introverted, amd around 68% is quite what I would have expected.

You have quite a lot intelligences. All of them more than 60% and 5/7 are 80% or higher. I guess Interpersonal and Introverted is a very likely combination.

Title: Re: Personality Test – What kind of person are you?
Post by: abigailian on July 27, 2009, 11:29:32 PM
AT least they were all brave or creative. Look at my list.

Andrew Johnson - American President
Benjamin Harrison - American President
Elizabeth II - Queen of England
Evander Holyfield - boxer
George H. W. Bush - American President
George Washington - American President
Harry Truman - American President
Herbert Hoover - American President
Jack Webb - actor, producer
Jackie Joyner-Kersee - athlete (heptathlon)
Thomas - Christ's Apostle
Warren Buffet - investor, businessman

They're practically all politicians, and except for George Washington, not terribly notable ones. Then you have DOUBTING Thomas, who nobody admires, some filthy rich guy, two athletes I've never heard of and ONE actor/producer. I'd like to see some people I admire or who are at least creative or revolutionary. Those are the traits I most admire and would like to have.

And hardly any of the FICTIONAL characters are interesting either.

Actually, don't respond to anything I say. I'm seriously in a strange mood and probably will just continue to be b*****.

There is a distinct lack of INTJ's here... Oh well. Not all can be blessed to have the same kind of personality as the ultimate INTJ, who is pretty much God. Not to sound rude, or anything.

Finally took it again. I and F nudged toward E and T, though I thought they would've moved more (especially I vs. E). But technically, these attributes are supposed to be fixed and unchanging (as what you're most comfortable with by default); it's just that the behaviour may be molded by necessities in the environment and whatnot as time goes on.

Ah, looks like the site updated the old badge.

I was INFP before. Went from:
100% Introverted > 95% Introverted
58% Inuitive > 58% Sensing
68% Feeling > 58% Feeling
63% Perceiving > 58% Perceiving

I'm now ISFP, "The Artist." How fitting.

Actually, the personality types don't actually change, although the answer to the question might of course be influenced my the current situation, way of thinking etc. etc.

Although I think that a test like this can be relatively accurate, I think it is not at all perfect – especially because, after all, it is not even obvious that we know ourselves good enough and are able to answer all questions truthfully and unbiased.

It definitely is and interesting test, though, but I don't think I'm going to retake it anytime soon. I don't think I've changed much in the past years, anyway.

I'd like to delve into psychology one day – it really is an interesting topic.

Yeah, I think the base personality is always supposed to be the same; it's where you "feel at home". But you can get comfortable with going out of your comfort zone due to external influences and whatnot.

I'm still INFPish I think; wishy washy!

I went from INFP to ENFP at one point... I wonder if I'll go back to INFP? I mean, I haven't really associated with anyone outside of my family, Moony, and you guys.

I can't really imagine you as an introvert :o

Just took it again. Here are my past and present scores.
Past:
84% Introverted
53% iNtuitive
73% Thinking
... 58% Perceiving
Present:
56% Introverted
50% Sensing
12% Feeling
33% Judging

I took it this time on a different website, but I'm not sure if that would effect anything.

Whew - it's time to pay a revisit to this thread (: It's been 4 years since I took this test the last time, so I just needed to redo it (I didn't look on the old results beforehand).

Seemingly, I grew a bit more introverted and judging instead of perceiving. But what's interesting, is that my 4 top "multiple intelligences" haven't changed at all and only differ by 5% compared to my old results. To be honest, I'm surprised^^

//Consider this my personal journal entry ... whereas the next entry will most likely be in 2017 or so :D

Well, wasn't surprised. School has been dishing these tests out and I've consistently gotten something similar.

Sometimes I wonder if it feels agreeable because the descriptions are all strengths rather than weaknesses. Or perhaps the fact that you know its a personality test already alters the result  :reivsweat:

If anything, things like facebook prove the overwhelming majority of people are self-centered. Some fake it better than others. I don't see it as offensive and in fact I don't even mind admitting I'm incredibly self-centered. I live for myself and I'm always at the top of my priority list. Sorry fellas :P

I used to have 500 or so friends on my Facebook. Until I conducted some social genocide. Now there's like... 24 left? I only keep the people I consider truly friends (which I define to be like the best people on the planet), and for maintaining contact with those otherwise unreachable. Kinda like Purple.

I have to say I'm glad to remove all those "friends". Got rid of clutter I didn't give a damn about anyhow, and made me less depressed.

Too much social interaction isn't good.

^ I'd testify to that. In the military, it's all social interaction and being in a community. Zero quiet time to myself daily. I think it's going to drive me nuts. Sometimes I rush my things just so I can run out and sit in the middle of the huge parade square alone, just to get away from all the people.

Dam straight. I only add my family members and a coupa of close friends to my Facebook. The entire friends list doesn't even exceed the total number of fingers I have. Gotta say I totally enjoy the peace and quiet everyone keeps pining for.

Putting things in perspective, I can't understand why everyone is so seriously peeved whenever an acquaintance "unfriend" them. To me, social networks and other communication devices are just daily appliances, meant to make life more convenient not more difficult. It's obscene how people mistake "connectivity" for "availability". I find it even more audacious that people need to find affirmation for their existence in the form of "likes" to whatever nonsense they feel like sprouting as the occasion demands. Dude, what's the world comin' to dis dayz...

The problem here is that it's a "social" network and you're both very confused about why people dislike your anti-social behaviors. XD

When someone "Likes" your post, the word is misleading. Maybe they like it, maybe they don't, but in any case, they're "reaching out" and saying, "Yes, we're still in each other's lives, and even if it's just a small show of affection, it's still important that you know I see you in my social sphere." It's, like, knowing that you're in someone's thoughts, however briefly, that can comfort people. And the idea of comfort being from people is, at it's core, a social idea. Thus, social networking.

So there is no "What re we all coming to!?" issue, really. We've always been this way, and now technology allows us to do so in a more public manner.

That's as tsundere as it goes...

No idea what that means or how it applies. XD

I feel like a lot of people who take these tests end up with the same-ish results, and that's why I'm not totally on board with them. I think that if these tests are accurate, there are certain Types of people who will falsify their tests in order to purposefully seem like another Type.

For example, if the world was separated into two Types, one the Truth Tellers and the other the Liars, when you let everyone talk the test, everyone would come out being Truth Tellers. Likewise, there's a giant influx of the same few Types of people posting their results here, and all of them seem rather different. So I can safely assume either a) the tests don't work, or b) the tests don't ever account for the types of people who are inherently lying about their type, at which point they don't work.

Is seven the maximum number of words in a sentence you can comprehend?

The whole sentence reads: "it is a Japanese character development process that describes a person who is initially cold and even hostile towards another person before gradually showing his or her warm side over time."
Also, it's often used to describe a person who likes someone/something but hides the feeling behind the facade of hostility and unfriendliness.

Your low character is the subject of Greek plays, my liege.

Yes, I believe this was exactly what I was looking for: "Also, it's often used to describe a person who likes someone/something but hides the feeling behind the facade of hostility and unfriendliness."

What I meant was that I don't see how that works in the context of "That's as tsundere as it goes...", you can tell that the context would be wrong instantly from reading the few words that I quoted - that was why only those few words were included.

And may wisdom ever elude you...

On a serious note: After reading that one definition I skim-read the Google results page, picked out the phase "slang born on the Internet" and the words "anime" and "manga" and decided that there was no way I was going to sift my way through all that shite fine media (please don't kill me I have a family) and decided to ask here.

What I meant was that I don't see how that works in the context of "That's as tsundere as it goes...", you can tell that the context would be wrong instantly from reading the few words that I quoted - that was why only those few words were included.

Erm... I think you've misunderstood...

Spoiler: show

The term tsundere was referring to Merlandese's explanation for why people "like" FB posts.

When someone "Likes" your post, the word is misleading. Maybe they like it, maybe they don't, but in any case, they're "reaching out" and saying, "Yes, we're still in each other's lives, and even if it's just a small show of affection, it's still important that you know I see you in my social sphere."

D-don't misunderstand! it's not like I "like" you or anything!!! ewww, even the idea makes me puke! Baka! Baka! (runs off)

On another note, I'm hellava grateful there's no rating the posts on a forum like this.

But what I said and what tsundere implies are totally different. XD In my sentence, it IS like they "like" them. In fact, that's the whole point, is making sure they know--not covering it up and running away.

I think we should just all agree that we are all confused and leave it at that.
