Title: The film that inspired The Mirror Lied
Post by: Reives on May 24, 2009, 10:32:45 PM
Thanks to Dreadsteed, the short's name is identified:

"Why the Anderson Children Didn't Come to Dinner"
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0410896/

We really wanna see it (in my case, again), but can't find anywhere that has it. Anyone has any idea? o:

It was one of the strangest things I've seen. Even stranger that it was on the Comedy Network.

Ah, hm. . . I'll probably check to see if the libraries have it and try to get it on hold first. But aye, that's the one. I'll probably check out some other works by that director/team.

I debate watching this...but it might be too TML-like. TML reminds me of the Yellow Wallpaper.

What's with the yellow wallpaper-phobia? It wasn't THAT wierd! (Of course, maybe I got it because of it's overt feminist undertones)

Well from my experiences you can have hobia from everything. Cool is hipopotomonstroseskvipedaliofobie (fear from long words) or hexakosioihexekontahexafobie (fear from number 666)

^ After seeing those looong descriptions, I'm beginning to understand why some people may be afraid of such never-ending words, especially if you're in a profession where it's required to pronounce complicated, sometimes (very) long words perfectly. :o

Maybe I meant either you and the words alone. :P Just kidding! ;) I was only talking about the descriptions of course. 8)

Ask Uncle Google (as we say) or Auntie Wiki (as I say)

I think you typed the fear of long words wrong, I've heard something like 'hippopotamonstrosasquepadaliophobia' (or something like that)

You know, I think I might have actually seen this film on one of those alternative cable channels late at night.  I'm not sure if it's the same one because it was late and I was a bit out of it... but I think it's the same one.  Very strange!
