Huge clue about where To the Moon takes place!
« on: November 23, 2016, 12:00:06 AM »
I can't believe I never noticed this before, but Neil, who was driving when they crash the car, exited from the RIGHT hand side of the vehicle.

This drastically narrows down the number of locations the story could have taken place: UK, Australia, South Africa, Hong Kong or a few other small British colonies.

Wow, neat! I never noticed that!  :o Make sure to give us the exact location whenever you found it. That would make it a great tourist attraction :3

In all seriousness, the side of the street is a better indicator, as (at least in the US) it's legal to drive in cars with the wheel on the right side, although it's extremely rare.

Oh yeah, I remember one of the comments Neil made if you click on the car in the intro, he was like "I blame the car. Who puts the driver's side on the right anyways?" or something like that, I don't quite remember exactly. Maybe the company just gave them a weird car...afterwards the car they use seems to have the wheel on the left side, like in the second minisode. (although it might be Eva's personal car, it looks similar to the one they used before.)

Also, Neil uses UK-English expressions such as "pain in the arse", which tends to support this theory.

Cars from Hong Kong and Macau with specific number plate have access to mainland China, which expands the possible options...Besides, there are still a whole bunch of locations that are left-hand traffic.

Maybe we're looking for a place with BOTH!
