Well, I missed my February 17 deadline for this comparison
I'm gonna wait until I get some sleep to finish it, but have at least most of the portrait part of it for now!
I drew Neil in 2015, which I think was the first time I attempted to represent him in digital medium:
You can see the most obvious problem was the shaky lines, and that the proportions didn't quite match up well to each other. (there's more than that, but this is kinda old...no point for me right now to critique it. you guys can add things you noticed about it too though, it's still helpful)
This is the sketch for the comparison; it has the plans of what I want to eventually have in the final drawing:
I was thinking it would be a sort of commemoration selfie of their first day officially working for Sigmund.
Finally, this is what I have so far:
Gonna definitely add the glasses and try to tweak the teeth, not quite used to drawing them in a more realistic style.
There's still that issue with symmetry y'all saw earlier with the Eva portrait, which does bother me, but it probably just needs more practice. (it seems to have also originated in the sketch, so I need to be more careful next time. The smile is crooked on purpose though...I'm not that bad
Weird how stuff can change in just a couple of years! I never thought I would improve at all in the past...
